Is Your Business Prepared
For Pandemic Flu, Storms, or Terrorism?
by Sally Strackbein

If your people are not prepared, you are not prepared.

Yes, you have a COOP plan (Continuity of Operations Plan), a Business Continuity plan, or a Disaster Recovery plan and you feel secure. Do you have a PFE plan?

You need a "Preparedness for Employees," PFE plan. You need your people to be prepared so they will come to work. Or perhaps you plan to have them stay home and telecommute.

Your people are necessary for your business to continue. Where will their minds be? On helping your organization or on their own families and loved ones?

Do your plans include ensuring that your people and their families can stay home without risky trips out in crowds to shop? Have you urged them to prepare and have essential supplies on hand? Have you evaluated the cost of purchasing supplies for them?

You can urge the people you depend on to prepare their homes, their families, and themselves. It's easy to do. They only need to shop at the stores where they always shop, concentrating on preparing to live in isolation. Will they do it? You can help them. Give them guidance and information for them and their loved ones. Help them plan. Put kits together for them.

Use our 2 Week Plan as a guide to get them (and yourself) started.

Generic solutions are better than no preparations. Plans customized to their particular needs are better.

When you need help developing your "Preparedness for Employees" plan or guiding your people according to their particular needs, call us.
